KAOS Talk @ Jan Hoethuis/Yellow Art
KAOS organizes artist residencies in psychiatry, exhibitions, concerts, and more. Together with the Museum Dr. Guislain, it has been organizing the KAOS Talks for several years. These are public events where resident artists engage in conversations with each other. In 2025, the talks will take place at various locations.
The second KAOS Talk will be held at Jan Hoethuis/Yellow Art in Geel and will bring together Béatrice Delcorde and Nicolas Delalieux. Both artists were in residence at Kunsthuis Yellow Art last autumn. Yellow Art organizes a professionally supported and ambitious artistic studio for people with psychological vulnerabilities.
Béatrice Delcorde used as a starting point for her residency a documentary made in the 1970s by her uncle, André Van In, about family care in Geel. She conducted a collaborative research project to explore what remains of the benevolent community of that time, aiming to relive and reinterpret the story in today’s context.
Nicolas Delalieux is a theater maker and actor. He loves thunderstorms and dreaming at the blue hour. During his residency at Kunsthuis Yellow Art/KAOS, he explored the dreams of others, which, among other things, resulted in a kamishibai (Japanese paper theater) and a parade.
